Sharon Ponniah
ExecutiveSharon leads Quantium Health’s public and private health analytics practice, driving innovation in healthcare system reform through advanced analytics solutions. With teams across Australia, she partners with healthcare organisations, government agencies, and service providers to improve system efficiency and patient outcomes through sophisticated analytics and data-driven insights.
With over 19 years of experience in health and social care policy, Sharon brings deep expertise in programme evaluation, system reform, and health economics. Her passion for addressing inequity and improving sustainability has driven significant innovations across the healthcare sector.
Sharon’s earlier career includes roles managing national health programmes at the George Institute for Global Health, where she focused on improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes. She has also held strategic positions at various health organisations including the New Zealand Ministry of Health, where she developed and managed national health surveillance programmes.
Sharon holds a PhD in Public Health and Epidemiology, a Bachelor of Science, Neuro-Anatomy and Psychology and a Bachelor of Sciences (first class honours) Psychology. She is a Non-Executive Director at Lifeline Australia and serves as a special adviser to the Champions of Change Coalition.
